Fish Festival 2019
Johnshaven’s Annual Fish Festival is held in the harbour area of the village during the first two weeks of August, and attracts thousands of visitors from around the country and from across the world.
Starfish Studio
Tucked away up Anchor Lane is Starfish Studio. This wee gift shop/gallery is a treasure trove of affordable Scottish arts and crafts – with many unique pieces by local artists that you just won’t find anywhere else. You can also have fun learning a new skill at one of the variety of craft workshops held from October to May. There’s something for everyone at Starfish!
McBay's Lobsters
Murray McBay and Co Shellfish Merchants are a local company dealing in crabs and lobsters. They are situated on the side of the beautiful village harbour.
The seagulls have a great time feeding on their leftovers! You will see the shells as evidence on the harbour side. There is also a local heron who loves to spend time there.
Hidden Treasure Tea Rooms
An unforgettable setting on the side of Johnshaven Harbour. Combine that with fine roasted coffee selections and a number of high end tea flavours and you have the beginnings of a memorable relaxing time in Johnshaven. The cakes are very delicious as are the snacks served for breakfast or lunch, pay a visit and meet the owners. Go on, spoil yourself!
